A Stepped Ahead

A quiet and naive girl 

Living her life in 

Her own cocoon,

Suddenly finds herself 

Entering into a world that is 

Chaotic and fast paced.

The girl who only knew 

 School, studies and exams, 

Finds herself crowded by 

Peers with outgoing talents.

While they were shining 

With their talents,

She was covered 

In the dust of hopelessness.

Eyes brimming with 

Unshed tears, and 

Mind loaded with the 

Thoughts of self-doubt,

She stood at the crossroads.

One leads to self-love, and 

The other lead to self-destruction.

Her heart beat erratically 

As she stepped ahead,

On the path of self-love,

On the way to find herself, and 

On the way to shine.

Not for others, but for 

Herself.
