Can You?

Can you kiss me like you wanna rhyme with my mouth?
Can you look for my eyes when you get lost in the crowds?
Can you write on me in the middle of the night like you write your poetry
line?
Can you make me your thought that keeps you up at night?
Can you hold my hand, not being ashamed of what the world will say?
Can you take me into the shadows if I said I don’t like the light of day?
Can you make me dance under the moon light when you don’t see me
smile?
Can you run away with me to a new place and promise me you’ll be
mine?
Can you hold me tight in the middle of a shaking winter when I feel cold?
Can you tell the stars about us? Or the stories that are untold
Can you carve our names on the stars, telling the whole universe that
you love me?
Can you be that rhythm to my music and the reason I still breathe?
