Golden velvet skin slipping through time and space
I whisper in my dreams not to leave me from within
The echos of the pieces of this tormenting scene haunt my yearning
To touch the darkness of your soul, the piece of you that's wilting
With a little lantern I look for you, can you scream it?
Disguised smiles, dreamless eyes, glitching night
Can you hold your breath for me just this one last time
I trace the patterns you've carved on your skin, no, it wasn't sin
I hold my breath, the reflection in the shallow mirror,
Looked back at me, laughing at my broken armor, piercing through me
"Only if you hold on" it whispered back,
All along it was me.
The devil in disguise.
My savior in every dream.
