Come to my feet, so gently

Touch my toes, then fade away

Whisper things you’re thinking

I will listen to what you have to say

You don’t need to crash or shout

I hear you just the same

Your soft and quite visit

Allowed the rain

Reach for me in silence

No one else needs to know

Just you and me together

As the tights come and go

You don’t have to stay too long

Just stay a little while

The way you hold me

Can always make me smile

You don’t belong to anything

You never stay in place

But still, you bring me comfort

Then leave without a trace

I sit and watch you come and go

No need for words or sound

You tell me stories in your own way

While flowing all around

And I don’t ask for anything

No promises to keep

Just moments where I know you’re there

Like waves that touch my feet

So come dear wave, as you always do

A friend who needs no name

You may not stay forever

But I love You just the same
