O! How I wish to be a child again! Seeking comfort, everything is a gain. Lying in my crib listening to a lullaby, Whining and grinning at every other passerby!
Puking, eating, burping and napping, With none ever seem to be complaining!
O! How I wish to be a teen again! Wearing shiny bracelets and not a fob chain.
Curling and straightening my hair, Experiencing early 'Love is in the air!' Looking all slim and pretty,
& being the popular girl in the city!
O! How I wish to be working again! Not in this wheelchair remain.
Making files and signing deals, Saying 'YES' to marriage with a squeal!
Getting all the love and luxury,
Going on a shopping spree!
O! How I wish to be alive again!
Not in the casket remain.
I want to feel the sun, wind, rain, soil, and
hay
Not beneath the ground rot and decay! I want to see my flesh and limbs,
And not the darkness these hollow eyes brim!
With that being said my mate,
Stop wishing on things and enjoy the present!
Because life is too short for regrets,
And even shorter if you are never content!
