Rooms aglow, lit from afar,
A kaleidoscope of unalike esse,
Clashing colours of tangerine and yellow,
Hues so soft it caresses,
My face, pressed against the window,
As it makes light of my very essence
I am waylayed by emotions,
Of feeling so small, piffling,
In a multitude of strangers,
I, for sure am nothing,
But it doesn’t depress my lost soul,
For in a crowd, I am something
