Your love heals my heart,
Yet why do we stand apart?
My soul longs to hold you near,
Yet your absence fills me with fear.
In my dreams, I saw your lovely, divine face,
But the morning brings back the harsh, empty space.
I know you’re not mine anymore
Like the never turning waves crash on a seashore
Why can’t my heart and mind align?
And beat as one, like a beautiful rhyme.
An enormous struggle fumes deep inside,Heart holds on, but mind wants to divide.
I’m stuck in confusion, unsure and alone,Should I let you go or make you my own?
Still in the darkness of the night,
I hope for the glimpse of a sparkling light.
My heart beats so fast, trapped in the golden past,
Why Can’t I break free at last?
I know you’re not here, I still repine,
I wish that one day you will call me ‘mine’.
